You know what I’m in love with?

the color (one of my favs for snugglers…)

the smell (Little T and I love grabbing fistfuls of California coastal sage on our beach walks, pinching them in our fingers for prime sniff potential…)

and when we’ve moved homes, burning sage has become a symbol of transition. Like the last time… (strap in for this one!)

My daughter was 4 months old, and we found out our roof was infested with rats (it was 2020 and The Year of The Rat go figure…) so we quickly packed up all our stuff into trash bags and lived with my parents for a month while looking for a new place.

It was an unexpected whirlwind, but we made such beautiful memories with my family. Especially now with my dad’s recent health issues, I couldn’t thank those rats enough for that month of bonding and pushing us into this new chapter! ✨
