My holiday pop up was wonderful! Between that and my story sale… you guys almost cleaned me out of inventory. Thank you for everyone’s support and to @arworkshoptorranceca asking me to be a part of this event again! (Fun fact: last year I was 8 weeks pregnant with Baby Roo… and munching on saltines the whole time)

Here’s a little stream of consciousness about the market:

✨ As a SAHM, I miss the positive reinforcement and adult conversations of my past career. When I worked as a reality TV producer, it was so rewarding and fun to listen to a Bravo podcast and hear people reacting to choices I had made. Being a mom is so rewarding in its own way, but you don’t get that same pat on the back in the short term. Markets are so special because I get to share my passion and craft with others and see their faces light up when they fall in love with something I made!

✨ Some of my favorite moments: a guy in his thirties grabbing 3 pocket animals for his desk “to cheer [himself] up during work”; a mom coming back to buy a secret gift after watching her teen daughter hugging a specific cow; multiple repeat customers coming back to buy gifts for their family (after doing the same last year!)

✨ It is the season of giving after all, and I threw in a some freebies (an ornament or $10 off!) for a few customers who spent $100+ or who came back multiple times throughout the market

✨ Customer favorites are these cuties in the photo: ballerina mouse, mini duck, cows — and also hatching chicks and loaf cats!
